The NENC is an eight-station consortium of public media newsrooms. Their multimedia coverage delves into energy usage, climate, transportation, infrastructure, and stories of people and immigration affecting the region.

Farm to Institution New England

Farm to Institution New England is a six-state network of nonprofit, public and private entities working together to transform our food system by increasing the amount of good, local food served in our region’s schools, hospitals, colleges and other institutions. The FINE network consists of non-profit organizations, government agencies, institutions, foundations, farms, food distributors, food processors, foodservice operators, and others.

New England's Natural Bridge

New England's Natural Bridge is a Massachusetts state park located in North Adams, Massachusetts, in the northwestern part of the state. Its natural bridge arches over a roaring brook -- carved out over the course of 500 million years by glacial meltwater -- to form the only natural white marble bridge in North America. IT'S MARBLEOUS!!

Formerly the site of a marble quarry (1810-1947), and then a privately-owned tourist attraction (1951-1983), the site became a state park in 1985, to preserve its unique geologic features. The arch, and its associated marble block dam, and quarry have long been the hidden attraction in this old mill town. And it had garnered the attention of photographers, artists, and writers; including Nathaniel Hawthorne, who, in 1838, wrote of his visits in his book, Passages from the American Notebooks of Nathaniel Hawthorne.

New England Review

The New England Review publishes new fiction, poetry, and nonfiction that is both challenging and inviting, while encouraging artistic exchange and thought-provoking innovation, providing publishing opportunities for writers at all stages in their careers.

New England National Scenic Trail

The New England National Scenic Trail (NET) is a 215-mile trail route that has been in existence for over half a century. It travels through 39 communities in Connecticut and Massachusetts. The NET is comprised primarily of the historic Metacomet, Monadnock and Mattabesett (M-M-M) Trails. Since federal designation in 2009, there have been some noteworthy changes to the historic route, inclulding an extension to Long Island Sound in Connecticut and a deviation from a portion from the historic Metacomet-Monadnock Trail in Massachusetts. The route features classic New England landscape features: long distance vistas with rural towns as a backdrop, agrarian lands, unfragmented forests, and large river valleys. The trail also travels through important Native American and colonial historical landmarks and highlights a range of diverse ecosystems and natural resources–traprock ridges, mountain summits, forested glades, vernal pools, lakes, streams and waterfalls.

New England Climate Coalition

The New England Climate Coalition is a group of over 150 state, local, regional and national environmental, public health, municipal and religious organizations dedicated to achieving global warming pollution reductions in the region.

They are working to:
• ensure the northeast governors develop a strong cap on power plant global warming pollution through the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative (www.rggi.org);
• hold the New England Governors accountable to their 2001 commitment to cut global warming pollution in the region 10% by 2020 and 75% over the long term; and
• build support for the region to adopt policies that reduce global warming pollution from the transportation sector, which is the biggest and fastest growing source of pollution in the region.
